The ULTRA 100% carbon mast took 18 months to develop, we wanted the best and it takes time to achieve perfection.

The ULTRA is a no-compromise mast from the initial concept right through to the final product, no expense has been spared. Quite simply we set out to make the highest performance mast on the market.
All fibers in the ULTRA are carbon, including the boom re-enforcement.

Our mast is pure, nothing added just carbon. Following the success of the Firelight we were determined to produce a premium quality mast, which would surpass all others in terms of weight while remaining strong and dependable in tough conditions.
Throughout the development phase we tested countless masts from five different carbon factories to destruction in the brutal Hawaii waves. We constantly re-evaluated the performance and characteristics to ensure that the new mast perfectly complimented our full range of sails.

The new ULTRA RDM mast is lighter, reacts quicker and will take a respectable beating.

New for 2019 we introduce the Monster RDM mast. With a carbon content of approximately 65% to significantly reduce the price while still delivering great performance. More glass is used in place of the carbon which results in great impact durability with only a small weight penalty. The Monster is available in sizes from 340 to 430cm and is a suitable mast for wave and crossover sails. If not extended, the performance is nearly as high as the Kauli for lighter sailors. In comparison it is slightly softer, a little heavier, but the difference is subtle until pushed into extreme power wind where the softer mast will feel less responsive. This mast should not be extended beyond 30cm.

PREPREG CONSTRUCTION
Manufactured using pre-preg composite fiber in a ‘roll-wrapping’ process to produce masts of the highest possible standard. The unique pressure wrapping system, developed after years of exhaustive R&D ensures hi-tech composite tubing of the ultimate in strength and stiffness-to-weight ratios.

PADDED MAST BAG
Each mast is supplied with a durable padded mast bag with all plastic corrosion free zipper for convenient storage.
